"We took this image to characterize the wild type acto/myosin meshwork before moving on to experiment with mutants in the regulation of actin, myosin and adherens junctions.  Overall our lab is interested in understanding how forces are generated at the cellular level, than transmitted at the tissue level.  Elucidating how the acto/myosin meshwork is regulated will be an important step toward that goal."
