In the picture we can see some microneedles, a series of arrow-shaped projections, standing on a base that joints them together. These 3D-printed microneedles are very small, less than 1 mm in height, and are used to produce molds which will allow their replication. Ultimately, microneedles made of biodegradable and biocompatible polymers will be used for drug delivery as an alternative to conventional needles.
