Anne Havinga is the senior photography curator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where she has been on staff since 1989. She has organized many photography exhibitions at the Museum, ranging from the beginnings of the medium to contemporary. Recent projects have included In the Wake: Japanese Photographers Respond to 3-11 (organized together with Anne Nishimura Morse, the MFA’s William and Helen Pounds Senior Curator of Japanese Art); Truth and Beauty: Pictorialist Photography; Photo Eye: Avant-Garde Photography in Europe; and Silver, Salt, and Sunlight: Early Photography in Britain and France.
