We are engineering stem cells to recreate miniature versions of human organs. In this case we have instructed the stem cells to turn into an organ like liver tissue. The image demonstrates the ability to grow a complex multicellular organoid exhibiting integrated vasculature (in green) along with liver cells (in red), to a large degree demonstrating the ability to truly recreate liver development.
