"The image shows the extensive contribution of host derived cells, including endothelial and immune cells, to the tumor microenvironment. To determine the utility of a specific deletion strategy in the tumor, I used a mouse line in which Cre activity causes a switch in expression from membrane bound green-fluorescent protein to membrane bound red-fluorescent protein.  I was interested in determining the efficiency of deletion by an inducible Cre in the tumor.  A Lewis Lung transplant tumor model was used to determine deletion efficiency among the host-derived tissues.  The results show mosaic deletion among the host-derived tissues."
