Vaccine targeting to the lymph node, an immune cell rich organ, is critical for vaccine efficacy. The images was taken 7 days after a preventive HIV vaccine was administered to mice through a dermal nanoparticle delivery device and shows vaccine accumulation in the lymph node. The vaccine that has reached the lymph node would interact with (teach) the immune cells to produce strong vaccine specific immune responses necessary to prevent a future infection taking us one step closer to a world without HIV.
